The Lease Specialist will provide support in the Portfolio Management Department for leases which require unique solutions to unique problems with the lease. The responsibilities will have a strong focus on helping Go Capital’s customers by negotiating lease modifications, amendments, and possible additional financing for a lease if necessary for a lease to perform. The position requires the ability to process legal documents with a high degree of accuracy along with a high degree of financial creativity. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / JOB DUTIES / SKILL-SETS

  • Negotiate lease modifications and amendments
  • Process all insurance claims and perform diligent follow up with insurance companies and 3rd parties to close the claim and receive reimbursement with liable parties
  • Manage the Residual process from negotiation of terms to collection of payments
  • Handle all Wrap Leases and Modifications which entails deep problem solving and analyzing accounts. Apply wise judgement on account evaluations to determine if paying for repairs and wrapping cost of repair is worthy of a modified lease.
  • Handle all communications with repair shops to receive estimates and negotiate repair costs if unreasonable. Talk “shop” with our trucking customers to try and pinpoint equipment failure and coordinate timely repairs.
  • Work to resolve account delinquency/promote current payments on problematic accounts and problem solve with our lessees to find resolutions for equipment issues.
  • Negotiate additional financing opportunities for struggling lessees
  • Generate new equipment leases for current lessees
  • Provide superior customer service to Go Capital’s customers
  • Maintain accurate notes in the collections system

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and work on several accounts at one time when necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products required. (Specifically Excel)
  • Excellent typing skills required
  • Excellent math skills required
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Goal oriented, creative, optimistic and works wells in a team environment

 

Familiarity with any of the following areas is preferred but not required:

  • Loan and/or Lease modifications
  • Portfolio Management or Collections
  • Car and/or Truck Repair knowledge
  • Equipment Leasing
  • Transportation Industry
  • Legal
