JOB SUMMARY

The Collections & Administrative Supervisor will provide high level leadership and administrative oversight within the Portfolio Management Department and will be responsible for creating a more efficient culture within our billing specialist team. As systems are learned, we want your creativity to simplify routine billing tasks (if needed, work directly with IT to help automate our billing systems), introduce and rollout more efficient reporting and payment reconciliation processes and procedures within the department, manage our online bill payment systems, utilize Salesforce.com and Turbo-lease (transactional and payment history reports) for increasing efficiency in report management.

The position will not only manage the day-to-day administrative functions but is expected to contribute and strategize overall operations of the collections/billing and administrative activities, this position will grow into a Collections staff managerial role. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / JOB DUTIES / SKILL-SETS

  • Train, coach and mentor a team of Admin, Customer Service and Collections Specialists
  • Manage the day-to-day billing, administrative, and overall operations of the collections/billing and administrative teams
  • Evaluate the quality and efficiency of collections calls
  • Monitor and manage the Collector’s account ratios and billing processes
  • Conduct Supervisory collection calls when necessary
  • Conduct scheduled employee reviews and develop corrective action plans when necessary
  • Conduct interviews of employment candidates to make sound department hiring decisions
  • Advise Management of potential collection issues impacting the company

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education and experience in commercial collections or finance
  • Experience with billing and collections of first party accounts required
  • Collection leadership experience, project management experience, and administrative management experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products required- Word and Excel
  • High school education and experience in commercial collections or finance
  • A minimum of 2 years of collections experience and 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to supervise and train a team of Collections Specialists
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent phone and email etiquette
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills
  • Goal oriented, optimistic and motivational
  • Strong work ethic: great attendance, punctuality, flexibility and attitude
  • Knowledge of repossession practices and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of FDCPA standards and state laws
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of commercial leasing and wrap leases
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
  • Goal oriented, creative, optimistic and works wells in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic: great attendance, punctuality, flexibility and attitude

 Familiarity with any of the following areas is preferred but not required:

  • Equipment Leasing
